The evergreen Mickey Mouse now makes a grand comeback to the public eye and this time round it is in a true BLING-BLING style, with solid gold. Oh yes, the Mickey Mouse is sculpted in all of one kilogram of solid gold by the Japanese jeweller, Ginza Tanaka. The golden Mickey even has it’s tail made of solid gold and comes looking like a movie director, replete with the director’s clapboard. All this, in a size that measures just about 12 centimetres in height. Now if you ask us why this Mickey was even made, it was not without good reason. The Mickey was made to promote the Walt Disney movie, National Treasure-2 and is going to be given away as the top prize in a lucky draw for the lucky one who purchases the Movie’s DVD. By the way, this gold Mickey Mouse which will not go on sale, is worth all of $ 31,000. In the future, if this Gold Mickey Mouse ever goes under the hammer, we can expect it to fetch no less than a million dollars.
